Chesnara PLC has agreed to acquire MetLife UK Limited, a closed-book UK life insurer, which it expects to generate about £90 million of lifetime cash flows and, under Chesnara’s ownership and target operating model, add about £45 million to Own Funds and Contractual Service Margin at completion. Completion is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to customary UK regulatory approvals, and the Group Solvency II ratio impact is expected to be broadly neutral.
